Sunny Cold

Sunny Cold

Steelhead were not biting again today. Freezing wind saddens me. The blue icy sky reminds me of skiing with Hokanson in Mass. Justin's pirate radio show is on tonight. I can'T tune in very well. He's playing waiting for my man right now. The mountain with snow in the background is where Jeff has an FCC license to repeat the Boise community radio signal. We will blanket suburbia with packets of rebellion.

Fish n Game

Fish n Game

My father-in-law called me as he was leaving the gym and said he saw the Fish and Game truck releasing steelhead (huge trout that have been living in the ocean and have returned to spawn at the fish hatchery) by the Parkcenter bridge. I had not been fishing in weeks b/c I've been out of town, working, having visitors from out of town, sick, etc. I left work early and drove the half mile to the bridge. I couldn't believe there were 2 dozen guys wetting their lines. They must have been following the truck like I was planning to do. A kid told me that they were hitting left and right at first. Isn't that like shooting fish in a barrel?

The usual Idaho wide berth etiquette was not exhibited. This was urban fishing like on the jetty in Miami Beach. No one talking. A couple of idiots splashing around. Everything was so heavily casted over that I thought it was pointless to even try. If I did have any luck, it wouldn't be the same as regular fishing. The whole point is to play chess with nature. The lack of complexity with this scenario was masturbatory at best.

The Ethanol People

This is where I buy my gas. It is part corn and part dinosaur and ferns. The
people that own the company also own Sun Valley. I think they are doing a
great job providing ethanol to the general public.

Future doctors of America here. Smart little tots from Fina's school chanting "chuck e cheese". Got the inside scoop from another parent on how to get your kid into one of the exclusive Catholic schools in town. Get one of the parents on the payroll first. Apparently you have a better shot at that first. Then apply for the kid.

Lots of games made by bay tech. It's interesting seeing the new ones since we were working with them to build photo kiosks. They are getting a little better. The busy bee game uses the same style of materials as a fotoZap.
